Timsal Karabekir, daughter of Karabekir pasha (known for his cruelty in Kars during World War I), made new anti-Armenian statements.

Speaking at a meeting of Turkish nationalists, she stated that Armenians consider Turks their chief enemies. She is indignant with the monument to Armenian-Turkish friendship in Kars, IHA news agency reports. Timsal Karabekir expressed hope that the monument will have been destroyed when she visits Kars next time.

The former Mayor of Kars ordered a monument symbolizing Armenian-Turkish friendship, which was to be put up on the Armenian-Turkish border. However, his successor had the monument erected in one of the Kars districts. Nevertheless, rumors say it will be removed.
