RA Deputy FM meets OSCE Rep on media freedom

RA Deputy FM Arman Kirakosyan held a meeting May 18 with Dunja Mijatovic, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media.

Kirakosyan pointed out the OSCE’s important role in ensuring fundamental human rights and freedoms. Ms. Mijatovic addressed Armenia’s steps to ensure freedom of the media and welcomed the legislative reforms.

The sides thoroughly discussed Armenia’s further cooperation with the OSCE, particularly with the office of the the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, poinbting out the necessity for regional cooperation.
