On May 18, over 600 French Armenians gathered in front of the French Senate, where the Parliamentarians and Senators were discussing the law adopted by the French Parliament in 2006 and providing for criminal responsibility for the denial of the Armenian Genocide.

Ara Toranyan and Murad Papazyan (ARF-D Western Europe Central Committee) stated that they hope the bill will be adopted till 2011. If it is approved, the denial of the Armenian Genocide will be punished with a year’s imprisonment and a fine of EUR 45.000, Jean Ekyan reports from Paris.
