Three resolutions on Nagorno-Karabakh were adopted at the 37th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC (Organization of Islamic Conference) member states.
The first resolution is a political one, recognizing Armenia as an aggressor. It will be a key point of the discussions on Karabakh conflict at the upcoming summit of Islamic states in Cairo, Tofig Abdullayev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC told Trend.

“Substantial changes were made to the first annual resolution. The question of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be continually raised at the OIC meetings, otherwise we will step back,” the source quotes Abdullayev.

According to him, the second resolution provides for financial and economic assistance to the victims of the Armenian aggression.

The Council’s three-day meeting opened in Dushanbe (Tajikistan), with 80 delegations from OIC member states, delegations from observer states, international and regional organizations participating in it.

Escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, transformation of Middle East to a nuclear-free zone, as well as the situation in Iraq and Somalia were on the agenda.
