Something new appeared at the Yerevan-Ankara negotiating table, said Suat Kiniklioglu, Turkish MP, Deputy Chairman of External Affairs and the Chairman of the Turkish-American Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, speaking at “Turkey’s Neighborhood Policy and the Middle East” scientific conference held in the Middle East Institute (U.S.).
According to Milliyet, MP believes it is a great proposal and its approval mainly depends on Armenian side.
He also stated that he will always support Armenia-Turkey reconciliation. He believes it will change the entire South Caucasus, stressing that normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations is possible in case both sides display political will.
As to external interference in reconciliation process, Kiniklioglu considers that it will not contribute to the solution of the problems. Turkish MP also added that Armenia-Turkey reconciliation and Karabakh conflict settlement are interrelated and parallel processes.
