NKR President Bako Sahakyan met with the former Speaker of Slovak National Council Frantisek Miklosko and Head of the Armenian community in Slovakia Ashot Grigoryan, who arrived in Artsakh to observe the May 23 parliamentary elections.

Sahakyan expressed his appreciation of Slovakia’s impartial stance on such a crucial event in Karabakh, the NKR Presidential press service informed NEWS.am. According to him, Stepanakert appreciated the presence of such an experienced political figure at the elections.

In his turn, the Slovak diplomat pointed out the high importance of Nagorno-Karabakh’s democratic development. According to him, Europe’s future is determined in Artsakh.

The officials also discussed regional issues, including the Karabakh conflict.
