After completing its mission at the NKR parliamentary elections, the Armenian observer delegation issued a statement. The Republican Party faction MP Eduard Sharmazanov, who headed the delegation of Armenian Parliament, said the elections were democratic, met international standards and once again proved that Nagorno-Karabakh is on its way to democracy.

“We arrived at the conclusion that NKR parliamentary elections can be an example to all the regional states, first of all to Azerbaijan,” Sharmazanov said. The Artsakh people proved there is no alternative to democratic values in the NKR.

The statement particularly says the elections were held without any violations. The absence of certain names in the voters’ lists is among the neglects. On the whole, the elections were held fairly in accordance with democratic norms.
