Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maud de Boer-Buquicchio stated the CoE stands for a rapid resolution of Karabakh conflict, as it has an adverse moral and psychological effect on people.

The problems of the CoE member states are common problems, she said in Azerbaijani Parliament on Tuesday, Trend reports. The CoE is for the settlement of regional conflicts, particularly for a rapid and peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict, Maud de Boer-Buquicchio said.

Armenia and Azerbaijan joined the Council of Europe in 2001.
