Yerevan hosts the sitting of Armenia-Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. Armenian side is chaired by the RA Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan, Ukrainian – by Industrial Policy Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Novitsky.

The parties intend to approve the protocol, assuming the development of cooperation in various fields. Particularly it concerns trade and economic collaboration that as of today does not cover the whole potential of the sides.

As of 2008 Armenian data, the trade turnover between the countries made up U.S. $333m, whereas under the Ukrainian — about $305m.

Concerning the cooperation in transport sector, Yerevan proposed to discuss the possibility of signing a new bilateral agreement on the license-free “International Motor Movement”.

The sitting resulted in forthcoming signing of a protocol between RA State Revenue Committee and Ukraine Customs Service, as well as a memorandum on cooperation between the RA Sport and Youth Affairs Ministry and the Family, Youth and Sport Ministry of Ukraine.
