On May 27, RA President Serzh Sargsyan met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.

Sargsyan stressed that the European integration is one of the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy, RA Presidential press service informed NEWS.am.

The officials discussed the new opportunities of Eastern Partnership project and emphasized that its format is an effective measure for the development of cooperation and establishment of solidarity between Caucasian countries

The sides also discussed signing of Armenia-EU association and free trade agreements, as well as relaxation of visa requirements for RA citizens to EU countries.

The diplomats also touched upon issues on Armenia-Turkey normalization and Karabakh peace process.
