Azerbaijan rejected Turkey’s proposal to be transit country for gas supply to Europe and seeks for an alternative way, stated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Speaking at the government session, Aliyev said that Azerbaijan was ready to supply gas to Europe, but the talks with Turkey were unsuccessful.

According to RFE/RL Russian service, Azerbaijani President told about country’s intension to sell gas to Russia and Iran.

Earlier Aliyev has severely criticized the signing of Armenia-Turkey Protocols on the establishment of bilateral relations.
