“We have a large credit portfolio, loans from KFW bank, Export development bank, as well as U.S. organizations. We are pending a loan from Gazprombank in the near future,” ArmRosGazprom Company Board Chairman Karen Karapetyan told the journalists October 20.
Commenting on the U.S. $40m credit pending from RA Government in the frames of Russian U.S. $500m loan funds, he said: “We will get a credit from Gazprombank in the near future. Strikingly, often mass media wonder how come we receive a governmental credit of U.S. $40m mentioning our large assets. If we imagine that ArmRosGazprom will spend this loan for supply of 100 more settlements with gas, is it good or bad? Being unaware of the areas, this money intend for, they say Gazprom is a wealthy firm. I kindly ask to think beyond emotions — logically, as in many cases a well-organized team having no broad response in the press might eventually get discouraged.”
