RA President Serzh Sargsyan met with Russian State energy Corporation Rosatom Director General Sergey Kirienko. The sides discussed the issues on atomic power engineering, RA presidential press service informed NEWS.am.

The parties underlined that all agreements reached in 2008 are at the realization stage and expressed a high opinion of cooperation in the field. RA President and Kirienko voiced confidence that the current projects’ implementation will enable Armenia to remain the electricity exporter.

Commenting on the Armenian NPP, Kirienko underlined that the station is in perfect state and all conditions for secure and safe operation are ensured. The officials also discussed the issues related to the new energy unit construction and geologic exploration of uranium deposits.
