“The victims of Radovan Karadzic voiced outrage yesterday after the former Bosnian Serb leader made a mockery of the first day of justice for the worst atrocities seen in Europe since the Second World War,” Times Online inform Oct. 27.

According to the EuroNews, Karadzic, 64, refuses to stand the trial explaining it by the need to thoroughly study the 1-million-page long file. However, he is feared to drag the case as his predecessor Slobodan Milosevic did – postponing the judgment till he died in 2006.

“Standing outside the UN court in the rain, Munira Subasic, 62, whose husband and brother died in the massacre, said: ‘It feels like they are being killed all over again’,” Times Online reads.

As NEWS.am has informed, the trial on the case of Radovan Karadzic was due on October 26 in The Hague. However, he has not appeared in the Court. Karadzic faces life imprisonment on 11 counts of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity for his actions during an inter-ethnic war that claimed an estimated 100,000 lives after the break-up of Yugoslavia.
