Tigran Sargsyan asked the international organizations’ help to take a census in Armenia.

On 10 July the RA Prime-Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with the representatives of international donors, the RA Government press service told NEWS.am.

During the meeting Sargsyan informed about the census to be taken from 12 to 21 October, 2011. The pilot census will start in Sevan, Gegharkunik region and Getahovit, Gandzakar, Achajur villages of Tavush region from 14 to 23 April, 2010.

According to preliminary data the census will cost AMD 2,5 bln (about $7mln), the Prime-Minister stated. During the census nearly 16 thousand people will get temporary jobs in Armenia which is an important factor for the employment.

Tigran Sargsyan said that according to the calculations of the Ministry of Finance the state budget can defray only 21% of total expenses, thus asked for financial aid to carry out the census.
