Armenia’s national debt almost doubled and presently totals 47-48% of GDP, RA Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan informed, underlining that allowance rate reaches 60%.
Foreign debt will make 30% at the allowance rate of 50%. Davtyan assured that Armenian national debt will decrease starting 2010. The Minister stated that Government will be more prudent and does not intend to borrow loans, as those received this year are sufficient for the next year.
Armenia negotiates with IMF and WB on restructuring of the undrawn loans to improve the terms of both loans maturity and interest rate.
