RA MFA did not receive any official letter from Turkish side on implementation of a joint project with Turkey for restoration of Ani city, Tigran Balayan, RA MFA press secretary told NEWS.am commenting on the state of restoration works in Ani allegedly stated by Turkish media.

All previous attempts by NEWS.am correspondent to clarify this information in the Ministry of Culture were unrewarded by success. They simply dropped a hint that despite certain information they hold on the matter, it cannot be given to journalists and advised to contact MFA.

In addition, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertugrul Gunay told Star daily that the meeting of Armenian and Turkish experts is scheduled shortly for the discussion of projects on historical monuments’ restoration in Ani in the frames of Armenian-Turkish cultural cooperation.
