The members of the extremist grouping responsible for the August 2008 explosion in “Abu-Bekr” Mosque in Baku are sentenced to 5.5 up to 15-years’ imprisonment. The verdict was declared November 5 in Azerbaijani Court of Grave Crimes.

All the convicts are found guilty. According to ITAR-TASS, two people were killed and 19 injured as a result of the terrorist attack. There were 23 citizens of Azerbaijan, two- of Turkey and one RF citizen among the convicts. The accused were members of the extremist religious grouping “Forest Brothers.”
