Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan on Friday received the head of the Yerevan Resident Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), George Akhalkatsi.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the projects being implemented in Armenia by the EBRD and the prospects for cooperation, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, the minister presented the concept of "green chemistry" in Armenia, the possibility of ensuring the continuity of the textile industry project, as well as collaboration in light industry and entrepreneurship.

In addition, the interlocutors reflected on the development of Armenia’s capital market, increasing the competitiveness of the country’s private sector, and the projects for the creation of Gyumri's "dry port" and industrial parks.
