A delegation led by the ambassador of Sweden to Armenia, Patrik Svensson, paid a study visit to the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP), the latter informed.

Within the framework of this visit, the possibilities for cooperation between the ANPP and Swedish industry-related companies were discussed, along with prospects for exchanging experiences and the application of innovative technology in the energy sector.

Movses Vardanyan, ANPP CJSC First Deputy Director General-ANPP Director, presented the ongoing processes related to the Unit 2 operational life re-extension.

The parties discussed also the construction of a new power unit  in Armenia, within the framework of which the potential of leading Swedish technology was emphasized. It was highlighted that the deepening of diplomatic and business ties could contribute to the expansion of Armenian-Swedish cooperation in energy and nuclear industry.

The parties emphasized the importance of such reciprocal visits, expressing the belief that this visit would contribute to the further development of cooperation between the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant and Swedish companies.
