YEREVAN. – There is no prospect with Armenia’s authorities, and there will be serious problems in 2012, former PM and opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) member Hrant Bagratyan stated during a press conference on Thursday.     

He is also sure that the upcoming parliamentary elections will be rigged to the utmost. “At the same time I am confident that there will be serious political changes after May 6,” Bagratyan noted.  

“Today there are three large political forces: [the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia] RPA, [coalition’s Prosperous Armenia Party] PAP, and the Armenian National Congress. I believe ANC will probably run in the elections on its own, [and] Prosperous Armenia will finally have the right to [likewise] run in the elections on its own, but provided that it support [President and RPA Chairman] Serzh Sargsyan’s nomination during the presidential elections,” Hrant Bagratyan maintained.
