French MP Patrick Devedjian said he is impressed by Turkey’s manifestation of force.

“When I see display of force in our territory I understand what happens in Turkey. For instance, the suspicious murder of Hrant Dink,” he said speaking during the Thursday debates in French parliament.

Patrick Devedjian recalled that the Armenian Genocide was recognized by Turkey and the organizers were sentenced to death back in 1919.

“French historians had an opportunity to write about the Armenian Genocide. Famous Turkish historian Taner Akcam used the sources Armenians are not aware of. However, he is now persecuted in Turkey. We have noting to be afraid of in France. This bill punishes propaganda of hatred,” he said.
