The European Union is following the developments related to ex-Artsakh Minister Ruben Vardanyan, who went on hunger strike in Baku. EU Ambassador to Armenia Vasilis Maragos told reporters on February 28.
“I am aware of the sensitivity to all cases related to human rights and the rule of law, both in Armenia and internationally. I assure you that in this particular case, we have received all the communications that have been sent to us, and we are very attentive to them.
The European Union has said very clearly that we expect a fair trial and that we are following very closely all the developments that are related to this particular case,” he said.
