YEREVAN.- It is not for the first time that France recalls Ambassador from Paris but diplomatic relations are preserved, said head of Armenian Cause (Hay Dat) office of ARF Dashnaktsutyun Giro Manoyan.

According to him, such diplomacy is criticized by Turkish society as well. Turkey is used to moving forward policy of threats and demonstrative moves while speaking about the Genocide. Turkey even once refused to conduct military exercise jointly with France.

“However, in a couple of months, Ankara received a signal from Washington. U.S. is also concerned about difficulties between such important NATO allies,” Manoyan said.

Back in 2006 when bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide was adopted by lower house of the French Parliament, Turkey blocked participation of Gaz de France in Nabucco project.

“Such moves, as well as Premier Erdogan’s demonstrative behavior in Davos are characterizing the authorities,” he added.
