Assembly of Armenians of Europe welcomes the fact that French parliament passed the bill which makes it a crime to deny the Armenian Genocide.

The Assembly issued a statement expressing gratitude to France.

“We believe this decisive step by the French National Assembly is victory of justice which will bring honor to France as a country – defender of human rights.We consider adoption of the bill a serious progress on the efforts aimed at restoring rights of the Armenian people,” the statement reads.
