Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan commented on his predecessor Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s accusations. “Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s mentoring and self-admiration leave a painful impression. His speech was a claim on analysis… He was extremely boring. I think the attendees had to exert much effort not to fall asleep,” says a comment by Robert Kocharyan provided to the Medaimax Agency.

“The accusations against me are so absurd that there is no point in dwelling on them. Absurdity is worth ignoring. The very fact of my being mentioned by Ter-Petrosyan in all his speeches reminds me of an experience I had in Africa a couple of months ago. Late in the evening, sitting round the fire, the hunters were telling stories about hunting and African wild animals. They were telling about the power and danger of lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants. There was a European among us, who gave a sigh after each story and added that the bear was the strongest of the animals. After he repeated it a third time, I asked him why he was impressed by the bear so much. It turned out that he had been attacked and injured by a bear five years before. May be I am a source of inspiration for Ter-Petrosyan, and it is the reason why he remembers me so often,” Robert Kocharyan said.

NEWS.am reminds readers that, speaking at a meeting of the ANC active members on November 11, Ter-Petrosyan accused Robert Kocharyan and the then Minister of Foreign Affairs Vartan Oskanian of having implemented an ineffective foreign policy, which weakened Armenia’s positions on the Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia-Turkey normalization processes. He also called for not laying the “sins” of Kocharyan’s presidency on the incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan.
