YEREVAN. - No foreign currency trading was conducted at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Monday.

The stock exchange saw no substantial change in the supply and demand rates. The banks expressed a readiness to purchase US$ 1 at AMD 385, and the Dollar was sold at 385. 25.

The reason why NASDAQ OMX Armenia did not see trading on Monday is probably because the Dollar’s flow sharply increased in the cash foreign currency market, and the banks’ attention was primarily directed in that direction.

In the cash foreign currency market, the exchange offices currently purchase $1 at a maximum of AMD 384, and sell at AMD 385 or AMD 386. But the purchase rate could sharply decline after 6 p.m., when the banks close.
