Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan received Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

Minister Sargsyan emphasized the close and effective Armenia-EU bilateral cooperation, which is continuously expanding in various domains. Ambassador Maragos, for his part, reaffirmed the EU’s support for Armenia’s reforms.

During the meeting, the work being carried out within the framework of the EU visa liberalization process were discussed, including the process of legislative reforms and the introduction of biometric passports.

Minister Sargsyan’s upcoming visit to Brussels and the agenda matters that are planned to be discussed during this trip were also talked about.

In addition, the parties touched upon the current cooperation programs in police and rescue services as well as the provision of new EU assistance.
