Trump said he will travel to China to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and that Xi Jinping will visit the U.S., according to NBC News. 

“He invited me to China and I invited him here. We both agreed, so at some point I'm going to go there with the first lady, and he'll hopefully come here with the first lady of China,” Trump told reporters.

He did not give details on the timing.

Earlier, the US president spoke about his phone conversation with Xi Jinping, during which the two leaders exchanged invitations to visit their states.
