Valentina Matvienko, speaker of the Federal Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, and Alen Simonyan, speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, laid flowers at the Eternal Flame in Victory Park in Yerevan.
A Russian delegation, led by Matvienko, arrived in the Armenian capital Thursday on an official visit.
Meetings with Armenia’s senior officials are planned as part of the visit.
