Within the framework of the respective presidential decrees, 20,770 people were granted Armenian citizenship in 2024, informed Khachatur Poghosyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the President’s office.

“Based on the proposals of the authorized bodies of the government, the President of the Republic of Armenia signed 185 decrees on granting citizenship of the Republic of Armenia in 2024,” Poghosyan said.

He added that by some other presidential decrees, the Armenian citizenship of 3,746 people was terminated last year.
