Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan hosted a delegation led by the speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Valentina Matvienko, who is in Armenia on an official visit.

Pashinyan touched upon the current state of relations between Armenia and Russia, the PM’s office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Matvienko, for her part, reaffirmed Russia’s readiness to continue cooperation with Armenia—and based on mutual respect and friendship.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a number of matters on the Armenia-Russia agenda, including parliamentary contacts, as well as economic and cultural ties.
