The Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: [PM] Nikol Pashinyan's halls of power have ended up between shadowy fear and open courage.

Although in public speech, the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party and its parliamentary faction] members are attempting to instill confidence in the public that Pashinyan's positions are unwavering, in reality there is tension behind the scenes in the authorities.

The Zhoghovurd daily learned from its sources that although Nikol Pashinyan's team members are attempting to ridicule the candidates for prime minister in various formats, the impeachment process [against Pashinyan], they simultaneously have predictions that the situation could explode at any moment. Therefore, according to many, the impeachment process is not a "paper" placed on their table, but a signal of alarm.

According to information received by the Zhoghovurd daily, Nikol Pashinyan has decided to avoid drastic actions at this phase; they will wait for developments until they assess how deep the danger will get.

The authorities are currently afraid not only of the opposition, but also of the society, which is usually silent until it becomes a raging wave. The sound of that wave is still muffled, but the danger of resounding [is] real. Even more so, the [CC] attacks against the [Armenian Apostolic] Church have not been well received by the public.
