The Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: Nikol Pashinyan has instructed the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party and its parliamentary faction] board members to increase pressure on the [Armenian Apostolic] church.

To throw horrifying stories attributed to the [Armenian Apostolic Church] clergy into the arena, to wage a war of nerves, poisoning and discrediting the church's servants every day. And when the time comes, they will also publicize evidence, facts that were obtained as a result of giving illegal instructions to law enforcement agencies and violating the privacy personal life.

For now, they are still hesitant to "make revelations," fearing that the public's patience may run out and have the opposite effect. In parallel, the authorities are carrying out work also within the [Armenian Apostolic] church to create a coalition against [Catholicos of All Armenians] Karekin II through various clergy and create fertile ground to remove him [from office].

However, at this moment, such clergy, according to our sources, are still a minority and are unlikely to be able to become a majority and implement a "change of power" within the [Armenian Apostolic] church.
