Fox News host Bret Baier said he spoke with US President Donald Trump, who confirmed that Washington was not involved in Israel's strikes on Iran.

“Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb and we are hoping to get back to the negotiating table. We will see. There are several people in leadership that will not be coming back," Trump said, according to Baier.

Trump added that the US will help defend Israel if Iran retaliates, Bret Baier said.

As reported earlier, Israel struck Iran at dawn Friday.

Iranian media had reported the deaths of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Hossein Salami, IRGC Khatam al-Anbia headquarters’ commander Gholamali Rashid, and three nuclear physicists in these Israeli attacks.

In addition, according to a statement from the Iranian armed forces, these Israeli strikes had targeted not only nuclear, but also civilian facilities. Civilians, including women and children, were also killed.
