Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Israeli public on Friday that they may have to spend long periods of time in bomb shelters ahead of an expected retaliatory strike by Iran, Reuters reported.
Netanyahu, speaking in a video message released by his office, also said Israeli strikes had targeted senior Iranian commanders.
However, he did not name names.
Today at dawn, April 13, Israel launched strikes on Iranian territory.
Iranian media reported the death of IRGC commander Hosein Salami, the commander of the IRGC's Hatam al-Anbiya central headquarters Gholam Ali Rashid, as well as three nuclear physicists as a result of the Israeli attack on Iran on Friday morning.
Moreover, according to a statement by the Iranian Armed Forces, the Israeli strikes targeted not only nuclear but also civilian targets. Civilians, including women and children, were also killed.
