The U.S. has issued a security alert for U.S. government employees in Israel and their families as the country prepares for a possible response from Iran following Friday morning's strikes, reports CNN.
“Due to the current security situation, the U.S. Embassy has directed all U.S. government employees and their families to shelter in place until further notice,” the statement said.
According to the statement, U.S. citizens should “exercise caution and increase personal security awareness at all times” and know the location of the nearest shelter in case of an emergency, such as mortar or rocket fire.
“The security environment is complex and can change rapidly,” the advisory states.
