YEREVAN.- Orinats Yerkir Party will get more seats in the parliament than it used to have, leader of the Party Arthur Baghdasaryan told journalists on Wednesday.

As to public opinion polls showing the party has poor chances to enter a new parliament, Baghdasaryan said “I know those who have ordered the public polls”.

During the previous parliamentary elections Orinats Yerkir Party polled 6.8% of votes. After the party joined the ruling coalition, press and experts started speaking about dramatic reduction in ranking.  

“We are confident in our victory. As to assistance, we get it from people. Back in 2003 we entered the parliament being a part of ruling power. In 2007 we were the opposition, but entered the parliament as well,” he said.

According to him, a new election list will include experienced members and very young people.
