YEREVAN.- Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will give a concert in Armenia’s capital on Friday within the framework of “Yerevan Perspectives” international music festival.

The concert will be held under the auspices of President Serzh Sargsyan, orchestra members told reporters in Yerevan (photos). The orchestra is led by world famous conductor Lorin Maazel.

“It is my third trip to Armenia. I was here eleven years ago when I was impressed by rich music heritage of your country. It is a great honor to perform in a country with such developed music culture,” Maazel said.

Next year the orchestra will mark its 125th anniversary.
