YEREVAN.- The Armenian National Congress has not made any decision to transform the block into a party, said the coordinator of the Central Office, the head of the parliamentary faction Levon Zurabyan at a meeting with the journalists this Friday.
He noted that there is a solution, which implies the creation of a new political entity, and further cooperation with those who are willing to fight to the end as part of this unit. Zurabyan stressed that all ANC party members are going to be offered to join, and there is no problem if any of them refuses to do so.
“Those who wish to join will get that opportunity,” Zurabyan said.
As for a number of parties which have declared that transformation is not on their agenda, such as the People’s Party of Armenia, Zurabyan said he does not exclude the possibility that, having seen the future effective unification process, these forces will change their decision.
He assured that the decision to create the party will not affect the composition of the parliamentary group.
“ANC parliamentary group is the fraction of a bloc, issues are resolved within the faction. ANC party will not interfere in the affairs of the parliamentary group.”
