YEREVAN. - The Peaceful March of the Congress-PPA [i.e. People’s Party of Armenia] bloc has ended in Yerevan’s Liberty Square. (PHOTOS)
The participants marched through Mashtots Avenue, Amiryan street, Republic Square, Nalbandyan street and returned to Liberty Square via Tumanyan street, Armenian News - NEWS.am correspondent reports. They scanned “Levon”and “Peace.”
An open body truck in which Armenian National Congress (ANC) youths played rock music, went in front of the march.
Deputy Chairmen of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), Levon Zurabyan and Aram Manukyan along with PPA Chairman Stepan Demirchyan led the march.
ANC leader and former president of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, who tops the proportional candidate list of the bloc, didn’t take part in the march. He didn’t attend the other events of the election campaign either. During this time Ter-Petrosyan only gave two interviews on TV.
The Congress-PPA bloc, which is taking part in the elections under the motto “Peace, conciliation, good neighborly relations,”is for mutual concessions in Artsakh issue.
