Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko awarded pilot Alexander Akopov who had safely landed a plane with badly damaged cockpit on July 27.
Pilot Alexander Akopov who has Armenian roots landed the plane in Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, 112 Ukrainian channel reported quoting haberler.com.
The passenger plane ran into bad hail, in the result of which its front windows and cockpit were damaged, and the pilot managed to land the plane blindly.
