The major Christian churches have reopened the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Wednesday morning, ending an almost three-day protest.

The move came after Israeli authorities have expressed willingness to start negotiations toward resolving the dispute over this taxation.

Greek-Orthodox, Armenian Orthodox and Catholics churches decided to close the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in a sign of protest against municipal tax.

The Armenian community of Washington organized a protest action outside the Azerbaijani embassy in connection with the 30th anniversary of the Sumgait pogroms.

 

The demonstrators called to recognize and put an end to the murders of innocent civilians.

Five members of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) of Armenia have been elected.
