YEREVAN.- The leader of Heritage Party will participate in 2013 presidential elections unless new generation nominates an alternative candidate.

Raffi Hovannisian took part in “One hundred questions, one hundred answers” discussion on Tuesday.

Commenting on the remark that he had no intention to nominate his candidacy a year ago, Hovannisian said his words were taken out of context.

“I want a new generation to present their candidate, I will support him with my experience. However, if there is no alternative, if necessary, I will run for presidential elections,” he said.

Opposition Heritage and Free Democrats Party are running for the parliament with joint proportional list. The proportional list of the party includes members of extra-parliamentary opposition Free Democrats Party and civil society representatives.
