YEREVAN. – Over 17,000 passengers, mostly citizens of Armenia, Russia, USA, France and Germany, used the services of “Wings of Tatev” cableway in July.

According to the data of a poll conducted among the passengers, over 91 percent of respondents traveled by “Wings of Tatev cableway for the first time.

Most of the pollees were pleased with the “flight” from Halidzor to Tatev, and highly evaluated the level of service and safety. In particular, 673 out of 711 polled tourists said they felt “in complete safety” in the cabin.

 Most of the foreign passengers of “Wings of Tatev” are of Armenian descent (52%). Most of the tourists are Armenians from Russia (85%) and U.S. (70%).

The administration of “Wings of Tatev” cableway regularly conducts polls among tourists in order to improve the service quality.

“Wings of Tatev” cableway was launched on October 16, 2010. On October 23 of the same year, it was registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s longest two-way cableway (5,752 meters) and for its shortest time of construction (10 months).
