The Kyrgyzstan Government Staff unanimously approved the package of bills on the country’s joining the Customs Union (CU) and—together with Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan—the Eurasian Common Economic Space, informed the Kyrgyz government press service.  

At the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting, which was held on May 29 in Kazakhstan capital city Astana, an agreement was signed on an action plan for Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Russia-led CU. In addition, Kyrgyzstan and Russia signed an intergovernmental agreement on economic development under the conditions of Eurasian economic integration, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
