YEREVAN. – Armenia’s decision to join the Eurasian Union should not be viewed as an obstacle standing in the way of the country’s cooperation with NATO.

Ruling Republican Party (RPA) MP Koryun Nahapetyan, who is also chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, stated the above-said at a discussion on Wednesday.

As per the RPA deputy, Armenia will continue to conduct a policy of complementarity.

“Every country has the right to choose its own security system, and this choice should not cause additional strain from the viewpoint of the probability of causing clashes in the region,” Nahapetyan stressed.
