YEREVAN. – Tax control on medicine is quite justified, Healthcare Minister Armen Muradyan said.
The Minister explained that the stamps on packages applied to monitor their turnover neither harm the medicine, nor damage their packaging. The cost is not increased, too.
“The average cost of one package is about 800 drams, and the cost of a stamp is only 2-3 drams,” he added.
The cost of stamps will continue to be deducted from taxes paid by entrepreneurs.
The stamps on products were introduced a year ago for beer and soft drinks, and a few months later on a wide range of food products.
