YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan held urgent consultations in connection with a murder of a six-member family in Gyumri.

President Sargsyan held consultations with the heads of law enforcement agencies and stressed importance of clarifying details, finding the criminal and holding him accountable in short terms.

The commanders of the Russian military base deployed in Armenia expressed readiness to work with the Armenian law enforcers and provide assistance in the investigation, president's press service said in a statement. Moves aimed at finding the criminal are under personal guidance of the president.

President expressed condolences to the relatives of the killed family.

As reported earlier, six members of one family were shot dead in Gyumri, a six-month-old baby was wounded. Serviceman of Russian military base is suspected of the crime.

In a statement released on Monday, police said they hope for assistance of the citizens and asked those obtaining information to share data about a man on the photo posted below.
