Kanat Zhurman, a self-nominated candidate to the post of the President of Kazakhstan, is not articulate in his native language, Kazakh.

The linguistic commission, which examined the candidate, has concluded the abovementioned, informed the press service of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan.

The linguistic commission’s respective statement notes that Zhurman had made 31 punctuation and stylistic errors.

In addition, the candidate had made speech-related mistakes when reciting verse poetry, Gazeta reported.

To note, knowledge of the Kazakh language is a prerequisite for assuming high public offices in Kazakhstan.

Earlier, another presidential candidate, Askar Sirgabaev, likewise had not passed the aforementioned Kazakh language examination.
